i jsut have the one key on my 1992 cab but no remote locking unlocking on it, question is did they come with a remote locking key?
if so will BMW main dealer provide me with one or would it be easier to fit a remote locking device if thats possible?

AFAIK, no E30 was ever supplied with a key with a built in remote control. They were always supplied with a seperate fob.
There are several kits available on ebay in the £20 - £30 range, which have key blanks in the remote fobs that can be cut to match your ignition key.
