E30 Zone

I GOT A 325I BMW E30 AND I AM HAVING SOME TECHNICAL PROBLEMS, THE BATTERY KEEPS ON DRAINING OUT, I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND I CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR BUT IT STILL DRAINS THE BATTERY. MY MECHANIC DISCONNECTED THE STEREO, THE ANGEL EYES, ALL 4 WINDOW SWITCHES, THE LIGHT IN THE BOOT BUT STILL IT KEEPS ON HAPPENING. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME TIPS, THIS PROBLEM MAY HAVE HAPPENED TO SOMEONE ELSE SO I WOULD LIKE THAT PERSON TO COME FORWARD AND GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION PLEASE.

FIRST OF ALL, TURN THE CAPS LOCK OFF!!!!! - It's not pleasant on the eye, and is considered rude, as it infers shouting.
All been covered on here many times - use the search function.
Basically, get a milliammeter between the negative battery lead and the negative pole of the battery, see if there is excessive drain (20mA - 50mA is normal). If so, pull fuses until the drain goes away.

If the current's excessively high (>50mA as Brian suggests) pull fuses one-by-one to eliminate potential causes of this drain. If the car has an aftermarket alarm, these often drain battery power if the car is left standing for any period of time (even a week or two will sometimes lead to this), so if you're leaving it standing for more than a week on a regular basis you might want to disconnect the alarm or just pull the negative battery lead off when you leave it...

i pulled out the fuses one by one and the problem is still there, the alarm was fitted even before this problem started happening so i dont think its the alarm and plus this problem happens everyday, the car is never usually parked still for more than a day. i really dont understand. the car had no problems before but just recently every morning the battery is flat. can someone give any other suggestions please.

how about charging it up with a good drive or better, a long trickle charge, then disconnecting it (remove earth clamp) and leaving it a few hours. If it's flat when you come back or it struggles to crank, you've got a knackered battery.

If you've got a multimeter you can get a more accurate idea of how healthy the battery is, but if not (why not?) then that's the simplest solution, short of taking it to a battery tester.

has your car got leather seats?

if no it could be number 16 that's doing it because this happened to mine.

Already have! Get a meter in series with the negative battery lead.
