weird rubbing noise

my cab is making a weird noise which sounds like tyre tread touching the body somewhere- a rotational noise, and it happens only when moving/acceleration and turning the steering slightly to the left...
it never happens when the steering is turned more or from standstill, only on the move... i have had the car mot'd recent, replaced the wishbones, ball joints and drop links and have inspected for any tyre rubbing but have had no luck :S
what else can it be??

Check the backplates on the disc brakes.

Took the front wheels of today, didn't find anything wrong with brakes at all.
However, when i sat the car down on it's wheels again, I heard al little 'ka-tink' coming from the brakes. Kinda like something snapping in to place or, perhaps, out of place.

I don't have that much experience with cars, especially e30's. So any guidance is appreciated :).

sticking caliper? feel the wheels after a long run is one hotter than the other if it is you may well have a sticking calliper common on e30's
