hi,im fitting my mtech 2 kit soon and was wondering wether the clips that hold on the original strips down the side are the same as the ones on the door and wing pods of the kit? also,i bought the bits for the sideskirts to be fitted and they look very strange! like grey plastic oblongs,not very self explanatory at all! any ideas? do i have to drill holes for the skirts? are here any trick ways of stopping water getting in and corroding big time!?? any help is much appreciated,thanks

hiya mate ,dont know if i can explain this clear ,sill trims hang on to clips that slot into holes along top edge of sill just below the door jam ,maybee about 10 each side,they have 2 sets of studs that push fit into the sill top. The ones you have go underneath the sill ,clamp on to the underside.on a gen kit you can see where they clamp .The front and rear pods connect to the sill cover (slots on top )then on top of door pod,front pod and rear pod ,there are poppers that pop into the body along the rub strip line .Then at the bottom of the door pod the are clips that hook around the bottom of the door and screw into the pod .there are lots of other little screws and nuts etc but i think those are the main ones .hope this helps because its so hard to put into words how it all comes together
