washer jet removal and plumbing question

why are there two water pipes and a load of pipes and t-peices going to the washer jets on my touring.

my question is, can i simply have one pipe to each washer jet?

and alos, how do the jets come out of the bonnet in the first place?

Your touring is fitted with the very effective intensive wash system, as well as the ordinary system. Pull the column stalk towards you for normal screenwash, push in the end for intensive wash. Very effective after dry spells.
How the jets are fixed in place should be obvious from underneath.

pipes are simple enough, one goes to windscreen (via bonnet) with a tee and built in non return valve NRV, this keeps water at washer jets at all times till you run out... other pipe must go to back window, might have a NRV too...and if you've head lamp washers could be another pipe..... turn your washer jets 90degrees, this should let them out..... good luck and if you break them theres plenty e30s in the scrap yards 8O
