its either a 36 or 34mm. i got caught short at work the other week doing mine and had to grind down the wall on my 36mm impact socket so it would fit inside the hub. you shouldnt have that problem with a standard socket.

sorry i cant be more exact but with the socket being a tight fit into the hub i couldnt tell if it was the correct size but i didnt check at the time as i didnt care as it did the job.

just had an idea, ill be back

Thanks chaps it was a 36 and my dad had one, so saved lots of dosh there. What a job though, after removing nut and pulling off hub the bearing fell apart leaving the rear case still on the spindle. Is this normal? happend both sides. Is it easy to get back together? When i took of the rears a while ago hade to buy new bearing complete.
I am also replacing everything rubber , so new wichbone mounts srop links etc. can wait to see how she handles. Whats the best way to get the wishbone mounts in the bracket?

the bearings will fall apart and its good practice to replace them. mine came apart but as it was a sunday and i was replacing the disc back plates on a whim i retrieved all the parts, cleaned them and regreased them with some high temp grease and put them back together. the rear part needs to be pulled off the stub axle and refitted to the bearing. mine has been fine since by the way :D

the rear wishbone mount fits into the lolipop mounted to the underside and these can be pressesd in using a vice, they are a bugger to fit to the wishbone itself but most people use fairy liquid to fit them. dont use wd40 or such like as the bushes need to dry out to work properly.
