E36M42/ E30M42 any unexpected problems/pitfalls

Hi have bought a 1990 e30 318is with a knackered engine and have managed to get e36 318is engine complete
I know the whole inlet manifold side and sump have to be changed over but notice the p/steering and alternator and crankshaft pulleys use different belts can i just swop them over to the e30 ones?
If anyone has done this swop advice would be much appreciated
