Service Indicator Problem

Hi,

I have a problem with my service indicator. Some of the green lights aren't working correctly.

Are the LED's on its way out or something?

And how do I go about fixing this problem?

Could it be linked with the bulb that has gone on my rev counter?

Any help is much appreciated.

Kind regards.

Not to sure about your service lights mate but heres a good step by step to getting the clocks out.
I`used it today to change my dash bulbs. Worked a treat.

sounds like the leds have decided to go along with the rev counter bulb

there is a common problem with the SI board going in the instrument cluster but i dont think they effect the bulbs, but it could effect the service indicator

:D

The rev counter bulb has definately gone. Some of the green lights come on and go off so I think they need replacing. Just want to know how to go about it before pulling out the dash.

Thanks.

Take the LED board out and check for dry solder joints. If after reheating the solder points the problem still persists, then you can pick up an LED board from a scrapyard.

Could this be memory loss due to the SI board batteries failing? Still have to strip the sodding cluster but....

I very much doubt if there is anything wrong with any of the LEDs. I've yet to come across a dud one in any application.
Take the SI board out, put it in the fridge for half an hour, then measure the voltage across the batteries.
