What are the known symptoms of clogged fuel injectors?
Is it really necessary to clean them ultrasonic or I just need to put some cleaning fluid in my fuel?

Worth the money to have them ultrasonically cleaned. Symptoms are rough idle, loss of responsiveness and if you have leaking injectors your car will be reluctant to start from cold.

Dodgy injectors can be noisy too.

They're well worth looking after.

I'm getting mine done when my inlet manifold goes on.

You can check the resistance values with them in situ.

The only way to check the spray pattern is to remove the whole fuel rail, injectors and regulator and then turn the starter over and have a look at the spray pattern.
The fuel should come out in a cone shape and be a fine mist but what you'll see will look more like a water pistol
If you think there not working correctly then just get them cleaned anyway, it will cut the fuel bill.
