fitting a throttle cable

how difficult is it to fit a new throttle cable?
i realised today that the clip is broken on mine and i need to do it before the monsport meet

thats kool just wanted to put my mind at rest i've done one on a french turd before and it was a poxy job trying to thread it through fidly little holes

Nope, none of that nonsense. The plastic grommet where the cable passes through the bulkhead can, very rarely, be tricky to remove, but as you're binning the old cable it's not a concern

Is that why my 318 might seem really sluggish on pickup? After a while, she gets going, but I had a 1.6 festa that seemed to go quicker?!?!?
318i with 154 odd K on the clock, lowered 40 mil, K&N induction, scorpion system (downpipe back)
Should be fairly quick i'd have thought?
