taking out the dash?

hi there
did anyone ever take out their dash in their e30 and is it difficult?
i need to weld up a couple of spots

Now then just a mo,do you mean the scuttle corners? We could do with a photo guide....

no sorry whats wrong is at the top of the inner wheel arches on both sides there is a small
bit of rust and water is gettin in when it runs down off the windscreen i want to weld it
but it is to hard to get at any suggestions please
