Right guys I might sound like a complete idiot and all but want to make sure I do this properly, I want to connect a pipercross filter to my 318i cabby I've been told to connect it to the air flow meter now what exactly needs to come off and also is there any tips to get make the filter work well like adding an intake pipe??Pics would be fantastic if possible! I've put a pic of the filter here:

I agree with Bob_s and if I had spent more time on this site in the past would not have wasted money on one of these. Some may say they make the engine bay look better but if there is an increase in bhp I couldnt detect it.

undo the the jubilee clip that goes around the rubber hose connecting it to the afm and remove the afm and airbox by undoing the 2 airbox mounting nuts

open the airbox and remove the 4 nuts inside to release the afm

then bolt the afm to the induction kit and reconnect it to the rubber boot

you will need a bracket to keep the induction kit up
