Here's a zone link to Inspection I and II schedules:

Inspection I: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... _insp1.htm

Inspection II - http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... _insp2.htm

As you will see most of the service items are covered in Inspection I with the addition of changing the diff and transmission fluids and flushing and refilling the brake fluid for Inspection II. Very importantly, if you are not sure of the service history make sure that the timing belt has been changed. This appears in the Inspection II list.

Normally these service interval are indicated by the Service Interval Indicator, which is the LED display in the lower middle section of the dash but if you are simply wanting to catch up on all service points then these links cover most of the routine maintenance items.

Any semi-synthetic 10/40 engine oil is a good choice. I use Mobil S 10/40.

As they say in Germany, 4 cylinders is only two thirds of an engine.

Have fun!
