How do you reset the service lights with a bit of wire?

My service plug is the earlier smaller one, bit luckily it still has the cap so I can see all the numbers.

I dont want to go poking around until I am sure which ones I need to use.

Hi the diagram Chris provided is for the 20 pin diagnostic socket, with black cover. If you have the earlier 15 pin, red cover socket, the following link shows the relevant pin positions:

Well spotted, I do indeed have the one with the red cover... thanks for the link.
