Lights problem

I drive a e30 325i sport and I was doing a few circles earlier on today and my lights on the wee computer came on for the rear lights and number plate light. One other day the light came on for my rear lights when I was doing a few circles but I worked out that the stuff I had in my boot had knocked one of the rear lights out. That solved that problem. This time though I checked the lights and they seemed to be in ok. My left rear light is going but my right one isnt and my number plates lights arent going either. Reverse light, brake lights, fog light and indicators are all working. I swapped round the bulbs and its not the bulbs. Noticed there tonight that my lights on the speedo, rev counter etc isnt going either nor the heater lights etc. Everything is in darkness.
Was just wondering would anyone know the problem? Could it be a fuse has came out or blew? Thanks for any help! im a pure newbie with these motor's

The dash lights could be a fuse. Not sure on the rear lights.

Do your front side lights work? More than likely going to be the sidelight fuse. Could be you have dodgey wire blowing the fuse or could just be that it blew.

Yea I noticed that one of my front side lights wasnt going and its the same side as the rear light. Would that be connected to the other lights not going then?

Was just looking at the wee table for fuses and I noticed number 23 works the Right side, rear and parking lights, licence plate lights, instrument lighting. Sounds like my problem there!

Changed the fuse! blew it immediately when I went to turn the lights on. Must be a dodgy wire. I got a cd player put in for the first time the same day I first noticed the problem. Would it have done anything or it just a coincidence?
