1994 E30

Hi
Recently bought a 1994 Touring and there's always confusion when I buy spare parts as listing usually show E30s ending in 1991 so consequently I get sold E36 parts.

Recently, I bought an ISO radio adapter which doesn't fit (it's for an E30) as my radio loom is the same as an E36.

Could this mean my car's a mish mash of E30 and E36 or is the radio likely to be a one off.

cheers

Hiya, your best bet is to put your vin number (the last 7 digits) into www.realoem.com then you can go to the dealers with part numbers. My other half's car is 1987 prefacelift shell but with a facelift engine and a mish mash of pre and post wiring!

safer to use the build date rather than 1st registered date when you go to a motor factors. (realoem will give you the build date)

No E36 tat in your car. It's all top quality E30 stuff!
A '94 touring should come with a radio connector that resembles an ISO plug, but isn't quite.
The loom still plugs into the four pin sub socket on the accessories socket behind the glovebox though.
