help electric windows stoped working

hi guys, my bmw 325i sport M tech 1, electric windows have stoped working, wot numbers fuse do i check? did do a quick check in the fuse box and they looked fine, wot ese can i check for etc, thanks

lift the gearlever gaiter and check the wires have'nt come out of the switches, this is what happened to me !

fuses 17 and 28
check the cut off switch too.

as smithy says it will be the cut off switch if all the windows dont work and the fuses are fine. the cut off switch is a thermal tripping switch designed to trip rather than burn the motors, push it back in and try the windows, if that dont work remove the wires from the rear of the trip switch and short them together

i dont no if the tech1 is anything like the tech2 window switch wise. but on my tech2 above the window switch for the drivers side window there is a switch that if u push it in disables the windows. its a pain in the arse cause i allways press it and i think my windows are fuked but then i remember the retarded switch

hi thanks for all ur help have sorted the problem, mikekean ur right i mistakenly pressed a buton that disabled the windows,
