I have an '85 316 E30 that I decided to have PAS fitted.

The guy who is doing it for me is having terrible trouble getting hold of the right bracket that attaches to the n/side engine block and holds the Alternator at the top and PAS Pump at the bottom.

He got one sent from BMW, part no. 32.42.1.312.196 but it's the wrong bracket.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

The part we have is the one listed for the car on realoem.com but the bolt holes don't line up with the engine ones, they are about 1cm out?

Any suggestions please?

make sure you have the right year, as E30's changed after 1987.. They may have changed that bracket? Just a though, I could be wrong..
