Tire direction of rotation?

If the tire does not have the direction of rotation specifically indicated, does that mean that it can be fitted to either side of the vehicle?
Know this is a bit basic, sorry :o:

unless it has a really blatent one way tread??

most tyres now seem to be directional tho

If it has no directional arrows on it can be fitted to either side of the car :D

and if it is directional it can still be fitted to the other side of the vehicle if the tyre is removed from the wheel and refitted to the other wheel still facing the correct way.

Directional treads generally have a v pattern to the treads - make sure the tip of the v points forwards on top and you'll be good..

Just make sure it dosen't have 'OUTSIDE' written on the tyre as well, as the side with outside on will (obviously) have to face out.
