Gear Knob removal

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

Brought a new one the other day and was told its easy to fit, problem is i can't get the old one off. what am i doing wrong cos im giving it a good pull and it won't even twist, cheers

Give it a good hard yank (ooeer).

But be careful as you may smack yourself in the face.

it it still won't remove give the top of the knob a good
knock with your hand, then try pulling again.

Is it a standard BMW knob you're removing? I was tugging away on mine a few weeks back when I spotted it was an aftermarket item.
On this one I had to unscrew the collar and there was a grub screw hidden underneath that was holding it on.
