As the title says I'm trying to remove the propshaft without much success. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've undone the four nuts at the diff and undone the 3 nuts and bolts at the gearbox flange. The centre bearing is undone as well. The propshaft will come down in the middle but not enough to disengage the bolts at the diff end. I can't seem to make the sliding coupling move which would help matters - do they normally seize?

Also I can't see what is holding the front of the prop to the gearbox flange? The bentley manual mentions turning the vibration damper 60o but I can't seem to move mine, and don't see how this would help.

What am I doing wrong?!

Take off the two outer nuts on the gearbox support bracket and the gearbox will drop down a few inches, now you should be able to pull the propshaft out.
