Hi all.
Discovered today that my drivers footwell is wet, along side the heel mat, near the door. No obvious leak points. Happens in rain. I'm not loosing coolant, so it's fresh water. Any clues?
Whilst driving in the rain today, my sw/auto gearbox had a funny 5mins whilst sitting at 80mph. It was going in and out of top gear, so that I had to hold it in third. It sorted itself out when I dropped to 50mph and it was fine from then on. I've had no problems with it before, although, I can't help thinking that the rain played a factor.... Any clues?

Maybe the plastic panel behind the door card is split/cracked, had the same problem on a MK2 Golf Gti
. The rain just runs down the window, into the door and through the split panel and your left with a wet footwell and steamed up windows 
Dont know about the autobox, sorry.
