Hey,

Bought this car from a boy-racer, he added non-original crap and i want rid of it, mainly cos its causing high fuel consumption, 21 MPG

Heres the piece i found
Image

It leads to the boy racer adjustable fuel pressure regulator so im curious as to what it could be.

It leads to this

Any ideas???

Im replacing the fuel pressure regulator with an original one so im wondering should this also be removed?? (the thing in picture 1)
No idea what it is or what its function is.

Thanks
JJ

shouldn't be any problem if you leave it there , the ajustable fuel regulator is more likely the cause you high fuel consumption .

Definitely put the adjustable FPR on ebay - there's plenty of mugs out there!!
I would think that the other device you've found is a 'fuel catalyst', for running unleaded fuel.
First point is: your engine was designed for unleaded fuel. Second point is: it will do no harm to leave it there. Third point is: it did absolutely nothing when it was put there, and has done nothing ever since! Fourth point is: If it's in the line that goes to the FPR, the idiot has put in the wrong line anyway, as that's the return line to the tank!
Probably best to stick it on ebay as well1 I think they are still sold new, so some mugs must buy them.
