What markings does the standard cam have on it?

Noticed my cam has a large yellow letter 'K' stamped on it, between the first to lobes from the fan end. I had a good look and it doesn't look like it's had 146k miles of use, so I wonder......

Can any one clarify this for me......

ive got a standard 325 cam that iam looking at and i cant see any markings on it at all, oooooooooooo The K might stand for kent cams,

Had it comfirmed that it is a std BMW one, either yellow or green letter 'K' where printed on them, no reason given for why, but it answered my question anyway, cheers, Mark.
