Wash Wipe Problems

Hi guys,
Thanks to the brilliant Technical Guide ont his forum my wipers now work on intermittent and onewipe ) Hoever, when washing the windscreen with the jets the wipers son't come on auomatically, is this a common problen and if so does anyone know how to fix it?

washing the screen for long enough?

All controlled by the K10 wipe/wash control module in the fusebox, so a replacement of this would be the first thing to try, or open it up and look for dry solder joints.
