Fitting 5x120 wheels to E30 4x100 hub

Hi all I know this has been posted many times and apologies mods for starting a new thread.

I've read the other posts and still confused if the adapters are a safe option. I've seen a set of 5x120 wheels 8.5x17 not sure of offset

Would adapters be a safe way to put the on and which adapters as don't want the wheels to stick out

All help appreciated and once again apologies for the re thread
