I'm looking to get a smaller diameter steering wheel for my 325i and as the prices of good condition Mtech steering wheels are sky high I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good quality aftermarket option which will fit the bill.

I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks.

Nardi steering wheels were quite popular, no idea of the cost compared to oem stuff though.

Momo wheels? Not cheap but they made the steering wheels for Alpina so next best thing to OEM IMHO

They have got some interesting period correct looking stuff. Have seen a few Aussie E30 owners with them here - look smart.

Maybe not a popular view but I'm not a fan of small steering wheels. My 323i never had powered steering (like all the early Alpinas) but had the wider 16" Alloys. You needed the bigger wheel at parking speeds.

I like to see the instruments and hold the wheel with my elbow on the armrest so smaller wheels don't do it for me. It is from an era where wheels were bigger anyway and it is not a single seater so I am happy with the larger size of the standard wheels. The original 380mm Alpina wheel on mine is staying, even if I do retrofit PAS.
