Hi,

I've done the 5 lug swap and I've noticed my front wheels aren't central in the arch, they're closer to the rear of the car.

See Pic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2evt26kxenzivd7/badcastor.jpg

Parts used:
E36 M3 Knuckles/Spindles
E36 96 M3 LCA's ---- 'Allegedly'
Powerflex Offset LCA bushings
E36 Compact HSD Mono Pro Shocks

So is its a possibility my LCA's aren't 96 M3? I bought the whole front assembly with the knuckles, brakes and LCA's. As they where attached to e36 M3 knuckles / brakes and someone had written M3 on them I assumed they where legit. :S

Where's the best place to start? Do you guys have any measurements of where about the wheels should sit and what might be the cause?

Thanks
J

If you have all the correct items and the offset bush the correct way round the wheel should be centred. Like this (credit ClavinZero)

If the offset bush is correct then your spindles and/or your arms are not correct. You need a certain age of M3 spindle ('95+) and certain age of arm (96+) as per the WIKI here. That would be my guess as to what is wrong

They have different part numbers, check on realoem if yours are correct

From what you have there you may be able to correct it with the solid lollipop from SRS Concept which has more offset than the M3 bush and can correct the problem.

I got the SRS bits fitted and it make a massive difference. I also noticed my suspension top mounts where in the wrong way round lol which then centered the wheel even more and fixed my positive camber issues and wheel spacing.

At some point I will fit the standard offset bushing on one side so I can take a comparison picture.
