I am gearing up to replace my sunroof (have to have the replacement I have resprayed) and read that the bolts should be replaced. I have thought instead to use a threadlock and wondered if anyone has done this job(especially a while ago and not had any issues with the bolts coming loose). Also any advice about the job at all is welcome.
Thanks

Do you mean just the sunroof panel? I removed my sunroof panel to put a new seal on it, reused the same bolts and no issues heremickes wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 5:55 pmI am gearing up to replace my sunroof (have to have the replacement I have resprayed) and read that the bolts should be replaced. The only bolts that need renewing on anything, unless damaged, are stretch bolts, and the sunroof bolts definitely aren't those.
I think that the bolts in question have a serrated area under the head as a locking device. In theory, this will be damaged when the bolt is undone, but a little threadlock is more than an adequate replacement.
