Hi guys ! I need a new front left caliper however when i try to buy one its not the right fixings to the carrier, the fixing my front calipers have are the same as the rear calipers with the slide bolts the caliper has BMW 48/22 stamped on it. I have managed to find a few calipers advertised as front calipers with the slide allen key fixings but not in the UK

Please Help !! Has someone put rear calipers on the front of my 325i ?

AKAIK the two manufacturers of calpiers had their own carriers and are not interchangeable without changing both the caliper and carrier.

From memory they are Girling and ATE. If you are ordering new, you need to check to see that you are replacing with the same OEM manufacturer.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
