Ok this is the back ground....... car in talks is a 1989 325i Sport
car was taken off the road approx 8 years ago to carry out a full restoration, engine was stripped out bare and rebuilt, wiring loom together with the fuse box was stripped out and put back in......

Now as we speak everything has been put back together, engine starts and all electrics seem to be ok apart from the cluster.....

I have replaced the si batteries....

when you start the car the rev counter works for about 3 seconds together with the mpg gauge but after 3 seconds just stops working?

There is no movement on the temperature or petrol gauge ?

The service indicators don't light up at all?

The 13 button obc just stays lit and nothing displayed?

I have checked fuse no 27 and that is fine too.....

Any help would be appreciated.
