Im thinking about a possible battery in the boot conversion for my cabby in place of the damper (large metal bolster to counter vibration).

Is this wise?..anyone done it?

Regards

The damper is there for a good reason - Renault F1 thought it good enough to hide one in the nose of their cars a few years back, until it was discovered and banned, and the vibrations it suppresses are supposed to be harmful to a battery.

Yep, done it to a couple, gives a much nicer looking engine bay 8)

The boot on that particular cabby was weighed down with amps/speakers/air so im not worried about any detrimental effects it may have :)
