touring rear washer not working

As above i have checked the obvious things like the pump and power I've got a permanent live with the ignition on but no earth are these on a switched earth through a relay???

Pull out the wash/wipe switch on the dash, leave the wiring connected, and add a wire link between the black/purple and brown wires. If this makes the washer work, then making the link permanent is the easiest solution.
The only down side is you will use washer water at twice the rate it should be.

Best advice is probably to leave the tank empty or take it out all together, In nearly 10 years of touring ownership I have never felt the need for it and they are known for pipe/tubing failure creating an "in touring car shower" for everything in the boot.
