looking for the best dampers for an m52 swap to go with eibach pro springs.
I hear bilsteins are the way to go but i dont know which out of the b4's or b6's i should go for. Was looking at the b6's but they seem to be more than double the price of the b4's.
Also, does anybody have any experience with the Gaz adjustable dampers?

If you do a search on here. There's loads of threads on this topic.

B4's are said to be closer to standard. B6's are a firmer shock. I read also once that B4's are made in China helping explain why they are so much cheaper.

Both are a good shock and will go with your springs well.

B4s every time, if you drive on British roads.

just a quick question to make sure as there are two options for the front shocks with different part numbers.
first one

http://www.viamoto.co.uk/proddetail.php ... +BMW+3+E30

second one

http://www.viamoto.co.uk/proddetail.php ... +BMW+3+E30

and finally for the rears the description says 'bmw 3 e30 z1' and this is the only option for the b4's on that website (seems to be the cheapest place) so i was just a bit skeptical as to whether they will fit

You need to work out whether your front shocks are 46 or 51mm in diameter. Hopefully, as you've done an M52 swap, you've used 51mm shocks, but you never know ;)

The rears should fit fine.

Are those prices in pairs or singularly?

When I was buying B4's, this ebay shop seemed the cheapest:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Performance-30 ... 513&_pgn=1

Search through there and find the model most applicable to your set up.

I think they are prices for each damper, everywhere else that ive seen seems to be 70-80 each for the b4's so was just double checking

yeah ive got 51mm struts ready to get built up, not starting the conversion until the rest is done so im not tempted to cut corners to get it on the road quicker etc.

i will have a look on there cheers.
