Automatic transmission problem

I have a problem with the Auto box on my 325ise. the gear change from 1st to 2nd hangs for a second or 2 before jolting in properly into gear, the problem is worse at higher revs. I am going to do a fluid filter and gasket change on the box at some point this week. If that doesn't solve the problem what else can cause this?

Short answer is if the fluid change doesn't cure it, than it's change the box time
