My '89 Convertible has failed its MOT on a leaking rack. This is the second time it has in my ownership the last time was in 2004. At that time I had it replaced it with a GS&F refurbished rack.

Looking to put a secondhand rack on myself to keep the costs down and was wondering what the difference is between the pre facelift and post face lift racks. Will either fit in my car.

Which is it likely to have in it? It seems to have mostly post 88 parts fitted to it.

Suggestions on sourcing a replacement rack would also be welcome.

Many thanks

I guess that 8 years from a re-furbed rack is reasonable.

Any E30 power rack should swap straight in,most of the parts guys you will find here will sell you a rack complete with TRE's.

I would expect to pay in the region of £50 for a s/h rack.
