I've purchased an m42 gearbox for my m40 318i
Just wondered if I can adjust the prop length enough on the splines
Or do I need an m42 gearboxs prop
As I know the m42 gearbox is slightly longer?

Can you not just swap the output flange to use the shorter m40 one and retain your old prop?

I'm not sure, my box hasn't arrived yet but when it does I'll measure it up because I'd be up for that if it saves me buying a prop! Cheers
