Can E36 M3 trailing arms be used on an E30? If not then why? are e36 compact trailing arms a good substitute for upgrade on rear disc set up if I can't use the m3 ones? If I'm goin to swap over the suspension from the M3 then will I keep the stock shocks and springs or bilstein shocks and decent uprated springs? The stocks ones are in really good condition, just wondering in the lighter shell for track day use ONLY will it stand to me later to uprate it now while in the build state?

Any advice welcome.

No as e36 m3 do not use trailing arms, but compact arms can be used.

If you have an e36m3 it will make a better track car than an e30

No he is saying m3evo fronts will fit, the rear will not. You need z3 rear set up assuming you want to go for a 5 stud set up, the arms themselves will not improve your rear set up- to do that you need better shocks, springs, bushes and anti roll bars, it's also worth strengthening the arb mounts as they can bend.

Top man thank you, well I'll go for whatever setup that leaves me run with the M3evo rear brakes...

Either z3 or compact arms... Guess I'll be searching for a while!!
