how freely should the rear wheels spin....?

with both rear wheels off the ground, handbrake off and in neutral how freely should the rear wheels spin? (discs)

I've done the above and verified that the pads and shoes are not biting and there is still alot of resistance.

Any thoughts...?

you are still turning the diff so they won't free wheel like the fronts

Yeah it just felt like it was quite an effort. prob nothing wrong. just me worrying that something else has gone wrong
