I think this may be a daft question, but here goes anyway.

Is it possible to fit a strut brace to a 325 Convertible?

Is there a possiblity that it may provide stiffness at the front but put strain on other parts of the 'foppy' shell and cause issues?

If it i spossible which ones are best , not too worried about looks, if fact I prefer black to shiney.

Yes you can. I believe the geometry is the same at the front as all non M3 E30s.

I see a lot of strut braces with 'hinges' these days. I think that's defeating the purpose. I've heard good things about the RPM ones sold on here.

Got one fitted to mine too, but thought it was standard as it hs a BMW stamp on it.

i would have thought spending your money on fixing the obvious suspension problem woudl have been your first port of call, as well set up the cab is certainly not floppy.

check bushes, control arms, ball joints, shock absorbers, springs etc ect first.

and for info BMW strengthened the turrets for you in a cab, they also added support under the windscreen so the simple addition of more wieght will not solve a floppy cab.
