Go buy a full gasket set from motormec or GSF/ECP rather than trying to buy them all individually.

Decide what you're going to do "While you're there" before you just buy everything and go bankrupt.

Get your cylinder head booked in for a pressure test and skim BEFORE you take it off

You'll need MUCH more coolant than you first thought

Get yourself some feeler gauges so you can adjust the tappets and gap your new spark plugs
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap :)

You also need new head bolts.. Dont be a cheap bastard and use the old ones... They are stretch bolts so need replacing every time...

You will also need a torque wrench

And a list of torque specs for the bolts.

The tightening sequence

Timing belt and tensioner

And while your at it change your water pump as its fairly easy once everything is out of the way.

Everything Morat and I have listed is a must.... YOU MUST do these things or you will be doing it again.
