How do I know what injectors I have? It's a -87 320i (pre facelift, motronic 1.1, cat).
I've never taken them out or done any work with injectors previously. I'm going to try cleaning them with diesel or degeraser in my ultrasonic bath. What parts do I need to/can I replace afterwards?
Thanks.
What injectors do I have and what's needed for refurbing?

You can ask the opinion of this bloke, he's the resident injector expert:

Don't waste your time on DIY injector cleaning. The flow needs to be balanced as well.

But I have plenty of time
I noticed most of the fuel hoses in the engine bay look old and cracked (on the outside). Is it a good idea to replace these while I'm there as a precaution?
I know I'm supposed to get the pressure out of the fuel system before working on it. Haynes describes how to do it by taking the fuse for the fuel pump out and starting the engine. I've already taken the throttle body out and disconnected all the hoses leading to it. Is there any other way I can release the pressure?
Whilst cleaning the injectors in the ultrasonic cleaner I want to run the injector at the same time (as per injectortunes method shown in their video). How can I do this? Are they 12v? Can I connect a 12v converter with a button to it?
Thanks

Haynes method of releasing the fuel pressure is spot on.
But with bits already missing in your situation, all you can do is remove the fuel feed and return from the fuel rail.Be prepared for fuel spillage, having a fag on is not reccommended!
