BEst way to replace/repair Electric Heater Valve?

So today, the passenger footwell gets soaked with coolant.

Had a search here and it seems that the Electric Heater valve is likely to be the cause and on taking out the glove box I can see that it's wet.

What's the best way to go about rectifying this?
Do I just replace the valve? If so, what parts do I need?
Is it just a case of needing new seals?
What is the most efficient way of removing the valve from it's location?

Remove the rear and then the front centre consoles, remove the heater hose under the bonnet, and change the valve.
There's a small self tapping screw that's difficult to remove because there's a brake bracket in the way. Replace it with a hex sided similar screw if you can for easier future removal.
Wrap tape around the flange of the new valve to keep the two square nuts in place.

Thanks Brian. I'm going to bypass the heater for now just to keep the car going. Will get the dash apart asap.
