more problems! i found that the drain tube on the front nearside sunroof is blocked and waters leaking in the footwell BUT the problem i have is that the sunroof only opens up and down and doesn't slide back and forth so i cant get to the front tube to clean it. does any one have any ideas how to get at it?

thanks

Yes, in front of your sunroof should be a cover that prizes off. From there the sunroof can be wound manually with a 13mm (I think) socket!

It can, but the large(r than 13mm) nut is slackened to disconnect the drive from the motor. You then use a male hex socket (6mm?) to turn the centre shaft, or use the double cranked allen key that should be in the tool kit.
You will need to assist the roof with your hand as you turn the key. Work it over and back until it frees up, then tighten the large nut again to reconnect the motor.

Coat hanger wire will scratch the paint, and promote rusting. TV coax cable is the tool for the job.
