Rearview mirror fell off
Moderator: martauto
My wife drove her new 92 318i cabby yesterday and the mirror fell off the windscreen as she adjusted it.Do I need that special glue or can I use super/ type/glue of any kind?
If it aint broke don't fix it!

if your rear view mirror is like the one on mine it has a metal fitting thats attached to the screen and that clips on to the rear view mirror, i did the same thing to mine when cleaning it and it "popped" off i tried loads of different ways to clip it back on and in the end it just takes a certain turn in one direction the holes line up and then twist back and its locked back into place adjust mirror afterwards. but if yours is different i would try a glue that specifically for glass and or non porous surfaces, hope that helps! ps get some pics up of it man!

oh sheeet possibly you could reglue the metal thing back on again, at some point on my car the front screen had been replaced but the metal thing had been put back on so i imagine there is some kind of adhesive specifically for glass or non porous surfaces, its one of them things that is so annoying when it isnt there!!!!

I'm looking for a cab mirror mount if you want to sell it? A motor factor will sell you the glue you need.
