short shifter

is there any advantage in fitting a short shifter if so is it worth doing.

its a 325 sport, whats the advantage and any idea of approximate costs

Z3 1.9 kit, bout £45 from the dealership forum here or look up the parts and order from your local BMW dealers.

Need the shifter, new plastic cup bush, a clip and new washers.

well worth it - did mine a couple of weeks ago, and it certainly makes for a better driving experience.

a lot of people like it but it does make for a notchier rougher change.

Reduces the 'throw' of the gearstick in both directions,well worth doing.
Do replace all the moving parts of the linkage,though,to get the full benifit.
