hi guys 'n' girls, ive just managed to get hold of a viper2 chip for absolute peanuts, just wondering if there is anybody who can send me some info regarding the procedures of swapping the chip, i know where the ecu is i just wanna know how long its gonna take me and what kind of tools are required!! thanks :roll:

Disconnect M8, its the only safe way to do anything on the car !

saves a fried ECU if you dont plug it back in 100 % too.

Should take about half an hour, the only tricky bit I encountered was prising apart the unit.

Just be very careful and all should be well.

chip installed !!!!! WOW!!! :drive: :burn: :drive: cant believe how much perkier she now feels, not only has it solved a small idle problem that i had it now hits about 3500rpm-4000rmp and takes off :woo: its a great mod, just wished i had done it a lot sooner, cheers for all the help fella's much appreciated!! thanks

i know its an old thread but insted of starting another 1 i thought id just ask away..................

right iv just put in a wild chip i bought off wilson, i started the car up to let it run for the 10 ish mins, and the idle went straight up to 1500, is this normal and ok? im just about to take it for the drive now so we'll see what happens

settled down!!! no its "WILD" :lol:

yeah it's sorted it's self out iv just kicked its teeth in for the past couple of hours on the country roads, and im well pleased with it, it seems to keep the power right on the button which is just where i want it :)
and smooth to boot

well it all depend's on what your driving is like mate, if your a baall's oot sort of person then WILD, but if you more of a cautious driver then go for the mild, but which ever you chose you wont be dissapointed

im not too sure on that one mate, you could try speaking to a guy called ant on here,
he's the one who does the chips

assuming you dont drive flat out 24/7 you'll normally see an improvement of a few Mpg once chipped.
