car failed the nct today (irish version of mot) :cry: .because of two ball joints on the o./s of car wrer worn. man was not helpfull about exaltly which ones were worn.
but my q is are the front control arms the same in all e30s and if the ball joint is worn do you have to get a new whole arm.?
and also the trailing arm has no ball joints only bushings? is this correct as i couldnt see any.?
i think there was a error n the sheet and he ment the 2 front control arm ball joints. many many thanks Aran.

Yes all control arms are the same.You can change the ball joint but it will need pressing out.
I just brought two new control arms.
Trailing arms only have bushes as you say.

oh lovely job. so no need to buy whole arm only the ball joints?? iv a press and all so sorted :cool:
