It's quite easy, just unbolt the manifold, lift it off gently (make sure you're not ragging the gasket to pieces and you'll be able to see what wires/pipes need disconnecting), once out, replace the bit's of pipe you need (might as well do both whilst your in there).
The only advice I would give is make sure nothing drops into the manifold once you have it split, such as a socket

That's half the inlet manifold, not the whole thing!

Yes, you have to remove the rubber boot, and I'm sure there's a couple of other bits, but it's all obvious once you get started as I recall.

I've gotta do this aswell i think, is it the metal pipe thats a couple of mm thick that, if you were sat in the car, would come from the passenger side and run under the inlet plenum? If so, i think mine has cracked as under choke, it tends to drip a bit which makes the whole car stink of fuel!
