Ive found an s50b32 engine for my conversion but it only has the original ecu. is it possible to remove/bypass the ews system when I only have the ECU for the engine? Ive heard there is a guy on the forum that can do it but im not sure what he needs.
Cheers [/b]

It costs a bit under £200 to have the EWS removed IIRC
Having an EWS module/key coded to your ECU will cost up to £80

I see, the guy has an ews kit and ecu from a zm coupe that I can get with the engine thats out of an m3 evo. im assuming they will work the same way? or can the ews be removed just using the original ecu for that engine for the above price?

Depends how much he wants for the ECU/EWS kit, I expect it will be more than you would be charged to have a module aligned
